U5 (PreK) Program
The U5 program will be a separate boys and girls program for players who are at least 4 years of age by September 1, 2009. No exceptions to this age cut-off are allowed and copies of birth certificates are required for all players.
Each Saturday the players will participate in 45 minutes of skills training appropriate to their age and ability and then play a 3 versus 3 (without goalies) small-sided game for another 45 minutes against other Pre-K teams. The goal of this program is to start skill development and to allow the players to have fun in learning the game of soccer.
U6(Kindergarten) Program
The U6 program will be a separate boys and girls program for players who are entering Kindergarten in September 2008 or who are at least 5 years old by September 1, 2009. No exceptions to this grade or age cut-off are allowed and copies of birth certificates are required for all new players to the Club.

U7 (1st Grade) Program
The U7 program will be a separate boys and girls program for players who are entering 1st grade in September 2008 or who are at least 6 years old by September 1, 2009. U10 (3rd/4th Grade) Program
The U10 program will be a separate boys and girls program for players who are entering 3rd and 4th grade in September 2008 or who are at least 8 or 9 years old by September 1, 2009. No exceptions to this grade or age cut-off are allowed and copies of birth certificates are required for all new players to the Club.
At this age level the two grade / age levels will be combined with a mix of 3rd and 4th graders training and playing together on each team. In addition, the U10 players have the opportunity to play indoor in Hingham during the winter months as a separate program.

This group will then play a 6 versus 6 (5 field players plus a goalie) game for another 45 minutes.
The goal of this program is to continue to continue to develop soccer skills, to continue game skills development, to start the transition to larger-sided games, and to allow the players to have fun in learning the game of soccer.
UNDER 12 (5th and 6th Grade) TRAVEL TEAM INFORMATION
This year’s 5th and 6th grade players will be playing on an Under 12 travel team. Age eligibility for the 09/10 season is based on a birthdate on or after AUG 1, 1997 & younger.
We play against a number of towns throughout the South Shore area in the Cranberry League in the fall and in the Coastal Youth Soccer League in the spring. In addition, many of the U12 teams play indoor in Hingham over the winter months. The fall play will be either an 8 v 8 or an 11 v 11 format, the winter play is a 6 v 6 format, while the spring play is an 11 v 11 format.

The Saturday sessions will be focused on team development and game play in addition to skills development. After the 3 weeks of training we will enter the Cranberry League play. It is important to note that players must be registered with the Club prior to participating in the training sessions. No exceptions will be made.
All players interested in playing on the U12 teams will be placed on a team and play in the fall and spring leagues regardless of skill level or experience. However, during the 1st weeks of training all players will be evaluated, with an “A” team selected for the boys and the girls. Evaluation will include an assessment of skills / speed / commitment / attitude and the player’s likelihood to succeed, excel and have fun in a higher level of competition. The “A” teams will play in the highest level of competition within the league play, with the remaining teams placed at more appropriate competitive levels.
The goal of this program is to allow all interested players an opportunity to play fun competitive soccer at a level that is appropriate to their skills.
Under 14 (7th and 8th Grade) Travel Team Information

There will be no change in the U16 / U18 programs from prior years. Players in these age groups will participate in High School soccer during the fall and then play with the Soccer Club in Coastal League play in the spring. Age eligibility for the Under 16 team for the 09/10 season is based on a birthdate on or after AUG 1, 1993 & younger. Age eligibility for the Under 18 team for the 09/10 season is based on a birthdate on or after AUG 1, 1991 & younger.
